• Conceptual design, development and construction of lightweight vehicle structures, in particular with a focus on aluminum or fiber composite structures
• Definition of component and system targets in terms of function, cost, weight and timing
• Coordinate closely with our computational and simulation team to perform structural analysis, load calculations, and design optimizations
• Close coordination with in-house production for welded structures and fiber composite components
• Independent design of detailed 3D models in CATIA V5, taking into account the agreed project objectives
• Active participation in the continuous improvement of design processes and technologies in the field of vehicle structure and lightweight construction
• Support the training and development of young engineers in the team

• Completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or a related discipline
• Several years of experience in the development and design of lightweight vehicle structures, preferably aluminum or fiber composite structures
• Sound knowledge of CATIA V5
• Holistic understanding of the requirements and challenges of vehicle structures
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with internal and external teams
• Initiative and strong problem solving skills
• Enthusiasm for innovative technologies and lightweight construction in the automotive sector
