RODING Mobility develops and manufactures sophisticated prototypes, pre-production vehicles, and exclusive small-batch production runs for leading automakers. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Project Buyer (m/f/d) who will ensure the supply of materials for our projects and manage suppliers and deadlines throughout the entire project lifecycle.
In this key position, you’ll ensure that the right parts are in the right place at the right time—from the first prototype to the finished small production run

Within our “Mobility Prototypes” business unit, we are a leading global “one-stop shop” for innovative and forward-looking mobility projects.
As a general contractor for full-vehicle prototypes, technology demonstrators and small series, we offer an agile holistic development and manufacturing process starting with the inital custumer ideas up to ready-to-run full-vehicle. With our 80 employees at our headquarters and manufacturing site in Roding, we bring last-mile delivery solutions (e.g. L7E) to life as well as sports car and hypercar projects.

YOUR TASK:
- Responsibility for sourcing components, assemblies, and services for prototype and small-batch production projects in the automotive sector
- Managing and tracking delivery dates to ensure that materials are available on time
- Active supplier management, including schedule tracking, escalation management, and risk assessment
- Conducting requests for proposals, comparing bids, and awarding contracts in close coordination with project management, development, and manufacturing
- Monitoring orders and ensuring smooth order processing
- Identification of schedule risks and implementation of appropriate countermeasures
- Supporting project teams with changes, special needs, and last-minute procurement requests
- Independent communication with national and international suppliers
- Collaboration on cost optimization and negotiations throughout the project
- Ongoing maintenance and monitoring of schedules and status reports for ongoing projects
YOUR PROFILE:
- Successfully completed vocational training in a business or technical field, or a degree in business administration, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Work experience in purchasing, purchasing project management, supply chain management, or materials control
- Ideally, experience in the automotive, prototyping, or small-batch production sectors
- Strong organizational skills and a strong commitment to meeting deadlines
- Assertiveness and strong communication skills when dealing with suppliers
- Technical understanding of vehicle components and manufacturing processes is a plus
- Proficiency in ERP Systems and MS Office
- Business-level proficiency in German and a good command of English
- An independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work
- A high degree of initiative and a passion for dynamic project environments
