• Creation of component and assembly concepts taking customer-specific requirements and targets into account
• Load- and function-compliant development and design of fiber composite components based on customer-provided A-class/surface data
• Independent planning of work scopes based on required timeline and project relevant milestones.
• Consideration of manufacturing and process parameters of the corresponding production processes (RTM/autoclave/pressing, etc.)
• Creation of detailed 3D models in CATIA V5, taking design requirements and material specifications into account
• Interdepartmental coordination with the internal departments of Production, Calculation & Simulation and Test & Validation
• Creation and maintenance of specifications, bills of materials, test & validation plans and presentations
• Cooperation with external development and manufacturing partners
• Active participation in the continuous improvement of development processes and technologies in the field of CFRP and fiber composites.

• Completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in the design of CFRP or fiber composite components for the automotive industry
• Sound knowledge of CAD software CATIA V5
• Understanding of the requirements and challenges in lightweight design and composites.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Initiative and problem solving skills.
• Enthusiasm for automotive design and development and a passion for perfection and innovation.
