To strengthen our development and engineering team we are looking for aexperienced and passionated engineer specialized in the development and design of components and assemblies for vehicle interiors. In this key position, you will be instrumental in implementing the design wishes for our customers’ vehicle interiors in development and design, meeting the highest standards of design and quality.

WE ARE RODING MOBILITY:

Roding Mobility GmbH is a global technology company based in Roding, Bavaria, with a focus on development- and manufacturing-services in the field of carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) technology and e-mobility.

Within our “Mobility Prototypes” business unit, we are a leading global “one-stop shop” for innovative and forward-looking mobility projects. As a general contractor for full-vehicle prototypes, technology demonstrators and small series, we offer an agile holistic development and manufacturing process starting with the inital custumer ideas up to ready-to-run full-vehicle. With our 80 employees at our headquarters and manufacturing site in Roding, we bring last-mile delivery solutions (e.g. L7E) to life as well as sports car and hypercar projects.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creation of component and assembly concepts taking customer-specific requirements and targets into account
  • Functional design, development and engineering of electromechanical assemblies and/or trim panels for vehicle interiors.
  • Consideration of demanding CMF (Color Material Finish) requirements to create a high quality and aesthetic interior.
  • Independent planning of work scopes based on required timeline and project relevant milestones.
  • Consideration of production and process parameters of the corresponding production processes
  • Creation of detailed 3D models in CATIA V5, taking design requirements and material specifications into account
  • Interdepartmental coordination with the internal departments of production and final vehicle assembly
  • Creation and maintenance of specifications, bills of materials, test & validation plans and presentations
  • Cooperation with external development and manufacturing partners
  • Active participation in the continuous improvement of development processes and technologies in the field in the area of vehicle interiors.

YOUR SKILLS:

  • Completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in the development and design of vehicle interior components.
  • Sound knowledge of CAD software CATIA V5
  • Creativity and design affinity to develop aesthetic and functional interior components.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Initiative and problem solving skills.
  • Enthusiasm for automotive design and development and a passion for perfection and innovation
